The Oneness of Allah (Tawhid) and His Having No Partner
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Allah is One and Unique. He has no partner, no equal, and no likeness. He alone is the Creator, the Sustainer, the Owner, and the Controller of everything in the heavens and the earth. Everything that exists was created by His power and wisdom.
The greatest foundation of Islam is the belief in the Oneness of Allah (Tawhid). Every Muslim believes that Allah alone deserves to be worshipped. He has no partner in His Lordship, His worship, or His perfect names and attributes.
Allah says in the Qur'an (Surah Al-Ikhlas):
«"Say, He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, and there is none comparable to Him."»
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ called people to worship Allah alone and said:
«"Say: 'There is no god worthy of worship except Allah,' and you will succeed."»
A true believer places trust only in Allah, seeks help only from Him, and worships Him alone. A Muslim should avoid every form of shirk (associating partners with Allah), because it is the greatest sin in Islam.
May Allah keep us firm upon the belief in His Oneness, protect us from every form of shirk, and guide us to the straight path. Ameen.
