Is a local Farmer's & Makers Market in Ballan offering Regional & Local produce and home made, home produced items on the SECOND SATURDAY of every month from 9.00am till 1.00pm. If you are interesting in getting updates on the market please 'like' this page and we will keep you up to date with our progress. Sometimes our volunteers at the entry gate are asked we we ask for a gold coin donation. These donations are used to provide funding for community organisations who don’t have an easy way of raising funds. Over the 14 years of the BFM running over 🟪$55,000🟪 has been donated locally.
Some of those community groups are listed below.
The BBQ we run at the market also raises funds for these donations and we offer it free to any community group that need to raise funds.

If you are a local community organisation that needs some funds for a special project, please get in touch. We have some funds available this financial year.

You will need to be an incorporated not for profit organisation with an ABN.

It's May Ballan Farmers Market time! Yay! the leaves are falling, the air is crisp and the branch is busy cooking up an autumn feast of yumminess for you all to enjoy!
Come and visit us on Saturday May 9th [hint, day before Mother's Day] there will be scones, preserves, cakes, slices, biscuits and GF too.
See you there! 9-1pm unless sold out

You may have noticed - we had a line-up change earlier this year. After 6 years with the Drongos, Matt has retired. But a run of weather-related cancellations in late 2025 and early 2026 meant that we didn't get to have a proper "goodbye!" show.

This weekend at the Ballan Farmers Market we get to farewell a good friend and colleague. Matt will be joining us to play the songs he's performed at festivals and events across Victoria and into South Australia.

We'd love to see you there. The market opens at 9 and we'll be playing from 10:30.
