Our farm is 100acres, managed organically, set amongst the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges on Taungurung country. We run Red & Black Angus beef cows, ethically & organically grown, fruit, vegetables, hops & artisan grains. And our crash grazing soft impact organic beef herd regenerates our land - making it better year after year. We are passionate about Organic farming systems, and our farm is

fully integrated between different animals and needs of the farm at different times of the year. We also care about educating our eaters, to eat seasonally. This includes understanding the differences between lamb, hogget and mutton and using all of the cuts equally, not just the best cuts as some buy from the butcher! Our meat is culled seasonally, and chosen on it's quality, not necessarily it's age.... which is dictated often by higher grain induced growth rates. None of our cows are grain fed, all are 100% grass fed, and grow according to the seasons, not according to our expectations. We run the farm according to the National Organic Standards & Principles, and are strong advocates of organic & biodynamic farming methods.

Tough seasons make and break us. We are grateful for precious feed ahead of our cows. Healthy weaned calves. And best is a hayshed fresh stored bale of hay. A precious commodity right now. It’s bloody dry … they say it’s excellent worm control. I pray for more than 5mm of rain!

Our Story

Our farm is 100acres, set amongst the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges. We run Red & Black Angus beef cows, Wiltipoll Sheep, Pastured Chickens (for meat) and currently Isa Brown and Rhode Island Red chickens for eggs. We are passionate about Organic farming systems, and our farm is fully integrated between different animals and needs of the farm at different times of the year. We also care about educating our consumers, to eat seasonally. This includes understanding the differences between lamb, hoggett and mutton, and using all of the cuts equally, not just the best cuts as some buy from the butcher! Our meat is culled monthly, and chosen on it's quality, not necessarily it's age.... which is dictated often by higher grain induced growth rates. None of our cows or sheep are grain fed, all are grass fed, and grow according to the seasons, not according to our expectations. We run the farm according to the National Organic Standards & Principles, and are strong advocates of organic & biodynamic farming methods.
