Still reminiscing on the incredible weekend that was Brisbane’s beloved Paniyiri Greek Festival 🇬🇷💙

The Big Michael’s family was so proud to volunteer in the Chios village tent, sharing our love for Greek food, culture and hospitality with the people of Brisbane. From serving up delicious traditional dishes to celebrating the music, dancing and spirit of Greece, it was amazing to see thousands of people come together and enjoy everything that makes our culture so special.

Weekends like this remind us that Greek culture is all about family, community, tradition and bringing people together around great food ❤️

This weekend looks a little different for the Big Michael’s family! 🇬🇷

As Brisbane comes alive for Australia’s largest Greek festival, the Paniyiri, we’re proud to celebrate our heritage and culture by coming together to volunteer and share some of the best parts of Greek life with the Brisbane community — the food, the music, the dancing, and the love that brings everyone together.

🌱 This week we visited our trusted partners at Lerch Farms in Gatton — a proud family-run farm with generations of hard work behind it.

Andrew grew up on this very farm alongside his father and grandfather before him, and today he continues the legacy with his own young family. It’s growers like this who help keep quality local produce moving into kitchens across Queensland.

From cauliflower and broccoli to beetroot, watermelon and more — Lerch Farms supplies some of the fresh produce we’re proud to source for our customers.

Seeing firsthand the precision, care and dedication that goes into farming year-round gives a real appreciation for the quality produce that ends up on the plate.

We were lucky enough to spend time on the farm and get a closer look at the incredible processes behind it all.
