The Bilby habitat at Charleville (Qld) is bulging and they urgently need to relocate groups of bilbies to new protected areas before overcrowding threatens their survival.

Great news that the last of Australia's unique arid bandicoots, The Greater Bilby, are increasing in numbers but to successfully release them to the wild is the next challenge.

Right now there's an unique Aussie animal that needs our help.
The Greater Bilby (Macrotis lagotis) , as opposed to the Lesser Bilby which is now extinct, is used in Australia as an Easter symbol to promote conservation, shifting focus away from introduced, environmentally damaging rabbits.

We need to increase the numbers of The Greater Bilby. Can you help?

Save The Bilby Fund is a small Australian charity. We aim to build our community to reach around 400 free-living bilbies behind the fence.

On Wednesday 27 May, it will be 109 years since the successful 1967 Referendum to amend the Australian constitution to include First Nations people in Census figures. 91% of voting Australians voted yes.

That referendum remains an iconic achievement. Australians came together to show overwhelming support for Indigenous people.

So each year May 27 is celebrated and marks the beginning of Reconciliation Week. The theme this year is "All In", a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. The theme is a reminder reconciliation is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people and it will not happen without all Aussies getting behind it.

How do you plan to celebrate this momentous occasion?

Barilla Spinach (Tetragonia implexicoma) native to our southern coastline. First Nations Australians as well as early settlers ate the fresh leaf as a source of vitamin C to ward off scurvy.

Use as a sprinkle for added flavour and colour to soup, stir fries, quiche and pasta.
