Chia & Me was created out of a need to eat foods that would help me to overcome an illness. After the initial shock of eliminating sugar and other refined foods from my diet, I began to feel better and started to heal my body. I combined my new way of eating with some regular exercise and very quickly I was getting some outstanding results that even my doctors could not explain. It was at this poi
nt that I realised that there were so many other people that could benefit eating clean, so I began making treats for my family and friends..... and as it turned out, some of the treats became popular items, and before I knew it I was receiving orders! I am not a whiz in the kitchen, run a household or a Chef, I just like the challenge of turning an old fashioned "fat factory" sugar laden treat that we all grew up on into a Gluten, Dairy, Wheat, Sugar free treat that is easy on your gut and won't give you a sugar coma after you have eaten it. This page is just basically all about the trials, successes and epic fails that happens when trying to make these treats. Not everything turns out like I saw it going in my head, and I think it is just as important to show those photos as the ones that do succeed - It keeps it real and hopefully inspires someone else to give it a go.
