Afternoon sun flare ☀️

I love to chase the Sun.

Did you know. In Navajo culture, the rite of passage for a young girl to enter into womanhood starts with her running towards the sun.

Each day at dawn, the girl runs toward the east to demonstrate her endurance and strength.

After 4 days of ceremony, her ritual ends with her giving blessing to all women. So beautiful 💛

How to calm down and reset.

Give your pet a pat.

I'm sitting in the flower field working out which job to tackle with the last light of the Winter sun.

The gentle, repetitive motion of stroking fur lowers levels of the primary stress hormone cortisol, while simultaneously triggering the release of "feel-good" hormones like oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine. Win win really. Smokey the goat and Alex the cat are now chilling laying down next to me 🤍

Yesterday, I tucked our tulips into the earth, planting them with intentions of love, connection, strength, calm, and happiness.

As they rest beneath the soil through winter, they'll carry the energy of the farm until they emerge in bloom.

We can't wait for them to meet you at the end of August.

There's usually a moment of confusion when I arrive in my mine site spec car. Flowers aren't what people expect. But when I open the door and reveal a bouquet of beautiful native blooms, their face lights up. It's a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful things arrive in unexpected ways ✨️
