AN UPDATE ON TOWER PARK'S NEW POWER SYSTEM

Over the past two weeks you may have noticed electricians onsite at Tower Park.

Works are well underway on an extensive new power system, including over 18 sets of power points conveniently located around the park, two large power connectors for external events, a new lockable switchboard, and all the ducting and trunking required to make it safe and tidy.

We are expecting Powercor onsite next week to connect three-phase power and install meters.

Following a competitive tender process, Dimboola-based Wimmera Electrical were appointed to complete the works.

Once Powercor have completed final sign-offs and connections, the exposed galvanised panels and racking around the tower will be painted a rust colour to blend in with the existing rust panels above, as originally planned.

This important upgrade has been generously funded by Squadron Energy — we sincerely thank them for their support.

With our new power system in place, running events, and pop-ups at Tower Park will be easier, safer and more successful than ever.

Want to host an event at Tower Park, Dimboola?
Tower Park is now community-owned and available for community-inspired events organised by local community groups, businesses and individuals.

Our committee is aiming to present four premium fundraising events each year to help cover the park’s operating costs and keep this unique community space thriving. Following the success of the first Dimboola Glow, we are excited to confirm Spring Glow on 12 September, with Harvest Glow planned for February 2027. A fourth major event is also likely to be scheduled for May 2027.

We will also support two community-based events—Community Halloween and Community Christmas—if there is enough local interest.

The space is there, and we want to see it used. We encourage the community to explore creative ways to bring people together at Tower Park.

Please note that all events require the relevant Council approvals and permits, public liability insurance, and any other registrations required by relevant authorities, such as food certification where applicable.

Our next event at Tower Park is looking fantastic!

Come down and get your glow on for an evening of food, music, lights and community. As a fundraiser to help with maintenance costs of our community-owned park, we're asking for a gold coin donation on entry.

FOOD TRUCKS WANTED – DIMBOOLA GLOW: SPRING GLOW ✨
We're looking for more food vendors for our next Tower Park pop-up!

After a huge Winter Glow with live music, food trucks and glow sticks, we're back for Spring!

Important site note: Due to structural challenges on-site, we cannot accommodate full-size / large trucks. We are looking for small trailers, marquees or pop-up stalls only.

Requirements:
• Current council registration
• FoodTrader permit
• Public liability insurance

We love supporting Dimboola's existing food businesses, so we're keen to source menus that are different to what's already available in town.
