Afternoon meshing blackfish on the Tweed. Good day on the water.

Met Charlie and Boya, fishing off the jetty, not much luck on the rods. Gave them a couple of ours on the way in.

Last day on the Clarence for the season, and the prawns 🦐🦐🦐 came in beautiful today. Fresh off the boat and straight Northern Rivers Seafood Pty Ltd in Ballina.
Once today’s lot is gone, that’s it for Clarence school prawns until October. Now’s the time to stock up, grab a few kilos and put some in the freezer. They freeze beautifully, and you’ll be glad of them come winter.
Chuck them in a curry, pile them on a pizza, or do what we did and have them fresh on a roll. Hard to beat.🦐😋

That’s the 🦐 school prawn season done on the Clarence for the winter.
Fog on the water, one last run, the gear over the side the way it’s been done here for generations.
The boats come out now, up the slip for repairs and cleaning and we’re back at it when the river opens again in October.
