Cassie from LOCAL smashed it out of the park with the best performance yet! Perfect sound and was ready to break into a full song!

Well well well. Is this a stacked market this weekend or what?
We are both excited and annoyed. Why you ask? Because we can't wait for this Saturday...you think you are the only ones that spends their hard earned cash at the market? And, well annoyed because it is only Thursday...

Every Saturday the team wonder through the market and buy all the goodies possible from breakfast to lunch to snacks and fresh produce like mushrooms, eggs, and the new Veggie Boxes that Pindatoes are rolling out.

Every week something new comes to the market and every week there are our wonderful regulars. We are seeing such a community around this market and we are all so proud of how it is evolving. It is still early days and there is plenty more Saturdays ahead for us to keep building to the vision we have always had for a market.

We are so ready for the weekend!

Every week we get to tell you what is coming up, and we get so excited ourselves. Experiencing the week to week joys of a market, there is nothing better!

This weekend on the music stage we have to regulars and of course fan favourites and

Then of course our weekly masterclass with .toohey smashing up an awesome snack to get your guests happy when they come over.

Be sure to come on down and show your support but also get ready for Thursday when we release the epic stallholder list! Another moving part that leas up to the epic Market Saturday!!

We did it! Geelong City Market, through our little new baby Barwon Events has been named a finalist in the Emerging business category in the 2026 Geelong Business Excellence Awards!!!

Can you believe it???

We have to, no matter the results acknowledge the amazing stallholders in our market who turn up each week and brave the unknown. We fricken LOVE you all.

Thanks you Geelong Business Excellence Awards for all you do for Geelong and surrounds. We can’t wait to hear the results for all categories.

Thanks again everyone. This is truly an honour.

This is going to be HUGE!!!

Only a couple more sleeps until this Saturday's market and we can not wait! Our best on ground are showing up this week and it is always the most amount of fun when we get them in! We have ready to eats, fresh produce, proteins, flowers, art, design music and and and!

So, how do we want you to spend your Saturday? With us. You don't have to come and go. You can stay, have a feed, see some friends, enjoy a coffee then grab your fresh produce for the week then of course, stay for lunch!!!

Either way, we look forward to seeing you this Saturday, and the Saturday after that and the Saturday after that. FOREVER!!!

Happy market day for this Saturday!! As you are all, I am sure, having a fantastic week at your jobs, we are getting everything ready for this weekend, making sure the place is top shelf for your Geelong City Market experience.

Simon Toohey is back this weekend (we promise he wasn't having a holiday) and we at the market and a few regulars have decided to throw him a little challenge to get him back for not being here. We are going around the market and choosing ingredients for him, He will then have to cook and create a dish in 30 minutes... we thought a bit of MasterChef PTSD would do the trick! So be sure to come on down to the kitchen for all your fun and laughter and good food needs at 11am.

Also don't forget the wonderful talent we have at our very own music stage. and will be joining us at 9am and 11.30am consecutively.

Can't wait to see you this Saturday, be sure to bring your tote bags and fill up on the weeks shopping! We love to see it.

Guess who we asked to play the weekends golden pipes to open the market? The legendary Steve from Geelong Region Olives !

There harvest season has come to a close which means… their new Olive oil has hit the shelves. And let me tell you, it is so damn delicious. It is so worth coming down and talking to Steve about the amazing product they are making. He is a wealth of knowledge someone we love having him week to week at the market.

We are loving these winter weekends! We know the extra layers of clothing is a thing and the slightly chilli mornings makes it all a bit slower. But there is something beautiful about it, cozy about it, and we at the market are ready to warm you up!

Happy first day of the month Market day!!

HOW IS IT AUGUST ALREADY!? Well it is and we won't stop, if you keep on coming! Every Saturday we have a market and we a proud to be able to offer this to you every week. This week is another banger.

Our masterclass will be run by no other than from Oborodo featuring the Masterchef legend himself from so see you at the stage at 11am sharp if you want a taste!

And let's not forget the stage - the musicians we have coming week to week - so impressive! this week... hitting the stage at 9am and the brilliant coming to you live at 11.30am.
