2026 was a blast! ✨

There was food, fun and wonderful people who came by our stall in market provision alley, plus I was so chuffed that celebrity chef used our living microgreens in three of his dishes during live cooking demos. 🌱

Aside from being a lovely bloke Matt TRULY champions local growers, producers and artisans, and it was such a buzz to hear his praise for our many varieties of microgreens.

Matt was gracious enough to invite me and a handful of other producers up on stage during demonstration so punters could learn about our products and our businesses, chatting and asking questions whilst simultaneously creating two incredible dishes! 🤯

Having accomplished chefs like Matt take the time to really learn about and promote the producers and growers in this area is such a fabulous move toward a more localised food system. Thanks Matt, I so enjoyed chatting with you and seeing firsthand the gorgeous dishes you made with our microgreens!

Also thanks to the organisers at Relish for another great event, and all of you who came out to enjoy some local food, drink and entertainment 🙏

How do you eat microgreens? 🤔

Mornings are getting chilly here in the Wide Bay Region, so this breakfast at a friend’s place in the morning sun was just so delightful.

GF toast, butter, dill cashew cheese, poached eggs and a mixed sprinkle of microgreens(mustard mix and radish of course!) Delicious, nourishing, beautiful food with the sun on your skin and a friend by your side ✨what could be better?

🥁 Relish Food and Wine Festival this Saturday!

Come along to the premier food festival in the Wide Bay Region, at Maryborough portside precinct for an exciting line-up of live music, gourmet food and drink vendors, exclusive ticketed sessions, and so much more.

Grow Wise Microgreens will be in the Market Provision Alley with some beautiful living microgreens, grow kits, seeds and a fancy display tray. Tickets available online or at the gate, make a day of it!

🌱 Grow Wise specialises in making veggies approachable for everyone, and here’s a little look at how that looks in action.

This week at the Gin Gin Family Frolics Day we brought along some microgreen tasters, a pea shoot growing display, mini grow kits to give away and a fun micro maze display for the kids to interact with.

Whilst some kids walk away after tasting two different varieties some are just happy to come and talk and play with the lego figures in the maze! We encourage everyone to explore these tiny veggies in whatever way feels comfortable, exposure is key 🔑

Plus sharing the goodness with these beautiful farm animals at the end of the day is a bonus, animals benefit from those super nutrients too! 💚🌱

Are these cute or what?

Introducing our promotional microgreens mini kits, for growing your own “pea shoots peeps” at home!

Thanks to the Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre you can pick up one for free today at the Gin Gon Fanily Frolics Under 8’s Day, from 10am to 12pm at Gin Gin State School. (You don’t need to be a school kid to attend!)

These kits include a compostable cup, coco coir discs, perlite packet and the perfect amount of quality, raw, non-GMO seed along with all the instructions and tips about growing.

Join us at the beautiful Gin Gin Family Frolics morning this Wednesday!

Family Frolics is a joyful event dedicated to children under 8, offering fun and social experiences in a vibrant, community-focused setting. Think engaging stalls and set ups, play, connection with community resources, simultaneous storytime and more!

Grow Wise microgreens will be there with an interactive display showcasing our favourite tiny veggies, and we can’t wait to share our new Mini Grow Kits with you! Thanks to support from Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre we have free kits for the first 100 families to come by our stall so your kids can go home and grow their own “pea shoot peeps”.

And you know we’ll have a kid-friendly display tray... what will it be?

And our grown-out display tray goes to…. 🥁

Our chickens! 🎉

We have 7 lovely laying hens who provide us with delicious eggs, cuddles and joy, so we give them lots of love. One of their favourite treats is microgreens!

So good for them too with their high concentrations of nutrients and they really enjoy pulling apart a big display tray like the one we used two weeks ago at the Mother’s Day market.

For these display trays (which often get touched by passers by, and really, who can blame them!) I tend to grow them out nice and big to give them to our beautiful chickens.

The leftover soil gets placed in our compost and tray washed up for next time. Aiming to produce as little waste as possible and keep our growing system circular 👍

🌱 Want some microgreens this weekend?

Grow Wise will be at Hervey bay at the fabulous from 7am to 12:30pm this Saturday. Come on down early to get your produce, or stay later and enjoy tunes, sips, eats and a huge array of market stalls to browse.

We’ll have all our usuals: the most nutritious greens around, microgreens grow kits and seed, plus willing to chat all things plants and growing as always :)
