Over the long weekend, we finally finished the greenhouse and got everything settled into its new home. 🌱

The beans and tomatoes had put on so much growth over the past two weeks, so they were ready for a fresh planting. I also dug up the strawberries from the garden and moved them into pots to keep them producing through the cooler months.

The only extra job now is hand-pollinating the strawberry flowers to keep the fruit coming.

What a whirlwind few days on the trip of a lifetime! From 30°C days and sky-high humidity to city hopping by train, collecting station stamps, eating fairy floss bigger than our heads, visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, experiencing apartment living like a local and our first typhoon.

We barely scratched the surface of everything this incredible country has to offer. While it’s nice to be back to a slower pace of life, I’ll definitely miss those daily 20,000-step adventures and the excitement of discovering something new around every corner.

I saved the top of a pineapple we ate, let it sit in water until it finally grew roots and now it’s officially planted in the greenhouse 🍍

Now begins the long wait - pineapples can take around 18 months to 3 years to grow fruit, so this is definitely a lesson in patience.
