Big week.
I’m sorry for not getting back to everyone. Sleep and phone service has been minimal.
Our house is still here! But lots of family, friends and neigbors were not so lucky.
We’ve been overwhelmed with support and acts of kindness throughout this entire week and don’t even know where to begin with thanking everyone.
So many people worked their arses off to help us.
It’s not completely over yet.

Thankyou everyone we got our cattle safe.
Just need to shout out mason tait, Wayne Lockhart, Charlotte Steiner, James Bartlett, Pete mcleod and everyone else that came to home today, we got our cattle out, we just got absolutely smashed by a tornado like wind, we had 20-30 friends and neigbors at home throughout today, the fire is out of control and we just got smashed by a tornado like wind, we’ve left and are safe at my brothers place, sorry for not answering all calls today my phones been running hot, fingers crossed for a good result when we go back tomorrow.

It’s all been happening an bonkonia lately!
This week we finished our silage run in what was challenging short breaks between rain, resulting in all intended hay/silage paddocks being turned into silage only as we couldn’t get enough time between rain days to dry hay properly.
Definitely no complaints though. 240 bales off 10 hectares followed by 30mm of rain to kick the regrowth straight into gear! What a difference a few months can make! 🤯🙌 🌱
We also had caity from IN 2 OUT livestock breeding services out to AI all of our stud heifers over 2.5 days of heat detection ai.
We now turn our attention to getting ready for the Outdoor Provedore Christmas market on December 20th!

A full box of speckle park tomahawk steaks headed off to Swiftcrest for their inaugural WHISKEY-FIRE-FEAST with chef Ross O’meara to accompany the launch of thier new whiskey 🥃

A culmination of a journey that started 23 years ago when we purchased our 120 acre farm and began a life built on sustainability and a true connection to nature. It has been a slow burn, each piece of the puzzle built over time, with heart and hand, and an unwavering sense of purpose. Some of the stories you may have heard, some still yet to be revealed. All the while our family of four, husband and wife Hank and Carrie, our daughter Belle and daughter in law Tasha, striving to live our values, knowing it's really hard to do the right thing, but finding joy in small achievements and unforgettable experiences.

The event will be focused around the fire where Ross will share with us some of the intricacies of cooking over coals. We will sip whisky, we will eat fresh from the flames. Life will be good.
