The eyes have it!

In the Gulf, when we get tired of driving in circles looking for Spanish mackerel, we keep the crew occupied with some bottom fishing.

It's obviously harder to find 'reef' in the Gulf than on the Great Barrier Reef, but not impossible. Random patches of rock and fish life show up on the sounder now and then, and some of these hold an amazing diversity of fish! Once you get past the catfish and the barracuda 😉, you can catch all sorts of reef fish.

Their eyes are always amazing, and highlight the diversity of fish. Who can tell what these are?

These were filleted, trimmed, and cryovac'ed on the day of capture, ready for our lucky western Queensland customers who visit our ALL WILD Seafood truck 😁🐟
