🐔 We still have plenty of our 2nd Year Hy-Line Layer Hens available! 🥚

📅 Next date for pick up will be this Saturday 27th of June, other days can be arranged just ask.

These lovely girls are looking for new homes and still have plenty to offer!
They are currently moulting atm, so will have missing feathers, but don't worry, once their new feathers come through, they'll look looking beautiful and refreshed again!

🌱🐔 Nothing beats seeing our girls doing what they do best especially with the sunny couple days we have finally got here on the Granitbelt, roaming on fresh green grass, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying plenty of space to scratch and forage.

Every egg here at Summit View Eggs, starts here with fresh air, open paddocks, and hens that are free to roam all day every day!
These girls work hard, and we’re proud to give them the best life possible and at the same time maintaining the best and freshest eggs possible 🥚 🐔

🐔🛑 🛑Retirement Homes Needed for Our Lovely Ladies! 🛑🛑🐔 Hy-Line Browns

The time has come to say goodbye to some of our older girls, 2nd year hens now around 20 months of age. These hardworking hens have done an incredible job in our commercial laying flock and have enjoyed a truly free-range lifestyle from the day they arrived on our farm.

While they're moving on from commercial production, these ladies still have plenty of laying years ahead of them when given the right care and conditions.
They are currently moulting atm, so will have missing feathers, but don't worry—once their new feathers come through, they'll look looking beautiful and refreshed again!
These girls are also laying our biggest eggs! 🥚

We're looking for caring new homes where they can continue enjoying life and providing delicious fresh eggs for years to come.

Today would have been a special day as our Maremma guardian girls, Ruby and Roxy, turn 2 years old today. 🎉🐾

Over the years they experienced their fair share of ups and downs, but through it all they proved themselves to be incredible protectors of our flock.

Sadly, Roxy is no longer with us. Her loss is still deeply felt around the farm, and not a day goes by that we don’t think about her. She was a loyal guardian, a beautiful soul, and an important part of our farm family.

Today we celebrate both girls—cherishing the memories of Roxy while being grateful to still have Ruby watching over her chickens with the same dedication and love.

Happy Birthday, Ruby. And happy heavenly birthday, Roxy. ❤️🐔🐾

Safe to say she wasn't impressed with the interruption because just after this photo was taken the pullet pecked her in the eye.
These dogs really do need patience sometimes haha 😂🐾❤️

Our beautiful Raya working hard doing her job guarding the eggs/hens… or should I say sleeping on the job while the girls and myself do all the work haha 😜🥚🐶🤍.
But in all honestly they are amazing livestock guardian dogs, that work tirelessly every night!

Due to a family medical emergency, The Egg Lady at 74 Sugarloaf road will be temporarily closed 🥚, don’t worry tho guys it’s not her it’s her mum, my Great Grandmother.

She’ll be back as soon as she can.
