Wonthaggi Angling Club has its own clubroom which is situated at the main recreation oval, off korumburra road, near the main grandstand. 365 DAY COMPETITION Selected fish can be entered at a cost of $2. Fish must be left whole . Proper Signed authentication must be presented within a month of catching. Fish can be weighed in at Allan Bentick's Residence. MONTHLY COMPETITION These are held on the third Sunday of each month. You are able to fish any open Victorian waters provided the fish is of size and is weighed in between 5pm and 6pm on the day of competition. If you have not caught a fish still come along and have a yarn and enjoy the club-rooms. Visitors are most welcome and must sign the visitor book. THREE RIVERS COMPETITION Held on the Saturday following the May monthly competition. Bream is the fish for this competition There is a minimal entry fee which includes a barbeque at the weigh in. Rules and Regulations are given out upon entry. Rivers that are able to be fished for this competition are: Tambo, Nicholson and Mitchell. Weigh-in is between 5pm and 6pm at the Lealow Caravan Park Johnsonville TAMBO RIVER COMPETITION Held on the Saturday following the October Monthly competition. Only the Tambo River can be fished. Other information is the same as the Three Rivers Competition. MEMBERSHIP CARD This is given out on payment of fees. It has the bearers name,number and information regarding weigh-in times, competition days and 'fish of the month.' FEES FOR 2019-2020 ARE AS FOLLOWS INDIVIDUAL SENIOR $20.00 FAMILY $40.00 UNDER 16'S JUNIOR $15.00 FISH OF THE MONTH Fish of the month earns double points at weigh-in. Other species weighed in that month earn regular points. WEIGH IN These are held at the clubrooms between 5pm and 6pm on the day of competition. All fish must be weighed in scaled, gilled and gutted RAFFLES A raffle, with several prizes is conducted at each weigh-in. Also a secret weight is drawn. SNACKS Finger foods /snacks are available on competition days. COMMITTEE Committee meetings are held on the Monday evening following each monthly competition.
