After two months of working day and night, I chased a dream of building my own brand. But today, after all the effort, I have to admit defeat. I didn’t hold back on planning or hard work. I went out to the market, visited shop after shop, talked to the shopkeepers. That’s when reality hit me. Competing on price with big companies was impossible, and the capital I had just wasn’t enough to keep fighting.
Yet I know my product is 100% pure. No adulteration, completely safe for health. My date chocolate would have actually helped people. But a good product alone doesn’t run a market. To survive you need financial strength, you need huge support. For one person alone, swimming against this current is truly impossible.
I don’t feel bad about moving forward with this. Because I tried, and I tried with my whole heart. In these two months, I heard so many things from so many people. Some encouraged me, some laughed, some said 'this won’t work.' Some pulled me back, some rejected me to my face. I heard it all, I endured it all. Because I knew what I was making.
So with a heavy heart, I have to shut my company’s doors today. A thought keeps echoing in my mind, maybe if I had gritted my teeth and fought for a few more months, I could have turned things around. Maybe with a little more patience, a little more pain, I would have seen the light. But when your pockets are empty and reality stands like a mountain in front of you, emotions aren’t enough.
I’m stopping for now, but I’m not ending this. I didn’t start because of what people said, and I won’t stop because of what people say. Today one door closes... who knows what door will open tomorrow?"
