A passionate advocate for empowerment, education, and holistic well-being, Ms. Esrat has dedicated her work to advancing women's equality and creating meaningful social impact. Her remarkable journey has earned her recognition as one of Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia (2020) and a featured speaker at the Forbes Power Women's Summit (2022), alongside numerous national and international accolades celebrating her contributions as a young social entrepreneur.

A graduate of the University of Dhaka with a degree in Finance, she later pursued a Master's in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado, USA, further strengthening her commitment to driving sustainable change.

We are proud to announce our partnership with Grameenphone, bringing essential telecom products and digital connectivity closer to Bangladesh's readymade garment workforce through Apon Bazaar's worker-centric retail network.

By integrating Grameenphone's services into Apon Bazaar outlets through a shop-in-shop retail model, workers can now conveniently access new SIM activations, SIM replacements, data packs, voice bundles, combo packs, scratch cards, and other essential telecom services—all from a trusted retail destination.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to making digital access more inclusive, convenient, and impactful for industrial workers across Bangladesh.

The partnership agreement was signed by Mohammad Shareef Mahmood Khan, Head of Sales and Distribution at Grameenphone, and Saif Rashid, Founder & Managing Director of Apon Bazaar.

The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of Farha Naz Zaman (Chief Marketing Officer), Sk. Iftekhar Ahmed (Head of Distribution), and Md. We were honored to host Zahedul Amin, Managing Director at LightCastle Partners, for an insightful session at Dialogue Den, where he shared valuable perspectives on capital management, SME growth, and the future of sustainable business in Bangladesh.

The discussion explored one of the most pressing challenges for growing businesses: access to and effective management of capital. Zahedul highlighted that sustainable growth is not driven by funding alone, but by strategic capital allocation, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation, especially for SMEs that form the backbone of Bangladesh's economy.

A major focus of the session was the true meaning of sustainability. He emphasized that sustainability extends far beyond compliance or certification. It requires responsible resource utilization, environmental stewardship, and business models that create lasting economic, social, and environmental value. Without protecting our environment and using resources efficiently, genuine sustainability cannot be achieved.

The conversation also shed light on the future of Bangladesh's RMG sector, where meaningful transformation depends on stronger collaboration among businesses, researchers, development partners, financial institutions, and policymakers. Research-driven decision-making and ecosystem-wide partnerships are essential to accelerate industrial decarbonization, improve resource efficiency, and build a globally competitive, resilient apparel industry.
