Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. (Surely we belong to Allah and surely to Him we shall return).
The sky of Bengal is cloudy today, the hearts of millions of people are in mourning today. The uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia is no longer among us. The inhuman oppression, neglect and limitless tyranny of the fascist forces that she endured for 17 long years will remain a sad chapter in the pages of history.
Every day spent in the dark cell of the prison with a sick body, every moment of loneliness and deprivation was a test of her patience. She did not bow her head, she did not break down; rather, she silently endured all injustice. Today, having put an end to all the struggles and pain, she has passed on to the other side.
O Merciful Allah, in return for this long 17 years of sacrifice, suffering, and every tear, grant this servant of yours the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. Judge all the injustices in this world and grant him eternal peace and honor in the Hereafter. Amen.

ওসমান হাদীর মতো যারা
দেশের সার্বভৌমত্বের কথা বলতে গিয়ে
অকালেই ঝরে পড়ছে—
তারা কোনো পরিসংখ্যান নয়,
তারা আমাদের বিবেক।
যারা অন্যায়ের সামনে নীরব থাকেনি,
যারা মাথা নত না করে কণ্ঠ তুলে ধরেছিল,
যারা আন্দোলন, কলম, বক্তব্য আর সাহস দিয়ে
দেশের পক্ষে দাঁড়িয়েছিল—
তাদের রক্তেই লেখা হচ্ছে আগামী দিনের ইতিহাস।
একজনকে থামিয়ে দেওয়া যায়,
কিন্তু সত্যের পথ থামানো যায় না।
ওসমান হাদীরা পড়ে যায়,
আর হাজারো মানুষ দাঁড়িয়ে যায় তাদের স্বপ্ন বয়ে নিয়ে।
শ্রদ্ধা সেই সব অকুতোভয় আত্মার প্রতি—
দেশ যাদের কাছে জীবনের চেয়েও বড়।
সংগ্রাম থামবে না,
কারণ সার্বভৌমত্ব কোনো দয়া নয়—এটা অধিকা
