🚨 ATTENTION RABBIT FARMERS 🚨

Fellow farmers, please take a moment to read this important health alert.

There is a virus called Hantavirus. It is NOT carried by rabbits, but it is spread by rodents such as rats and mice which are often found around our farms.

⚠️ Why this matters to us:
As rabbit farmers, our feed, waste, and housing structures can attract rodents. This puts us at risk, especially when cleaning dusty areas contaminated by rodent urine or droppings.

🦠 Symptoms to watch out for:

- Fever
- Fatigue (extreme tiredness)
- Muscle pains (back, shoulders, thighs)
- Headaches
- Chills
- Nausea or vomiting
➡️ In serious cases:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest tightness
- Difficulty breathing

❗ Important: Do NOT ignore these symptoms, especially if you work in dusty farm environments.

🛡️ What we must do as farmers:

- Keep feed in sealed containers
- Clean spilled feed immediately
- Control rats and mice around the farm
- Do NOT sweep dry dust spray with disinfectant first
- Wear gloves and masks when cleaning cages
- Wash hands regularly
- Keep the farm clean and well-maintained

💡 Remember:
Our rabbits are safe but our environment can expose us if we are not careful.
