A little bit of our village history 🤩

𝐌𝐎𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 & 𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

The name Mohembo is Anikhwe. Because of language barriers, the real name as pronounced in Anikhwe is Muhimbo.

Which means:

𝙈𝙪 = 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠
𝙃𝙞 = 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚
𝙈𝙗𝙤 = 𝘼𝙭𝙚

In Anikhwe it means "Look at that person, he is making axes."So the Gomai people named that person Mohembo because he was always seen making axes under a baobab tree.

The tree has now fallen at Mohembo West Water Affairs. That’s where his workshop was.

Then the Hambukushu people converted the name to Mohembo because of language barrier.

Mohembo the person had a wife and kids. These kids are still alive.
