Millers Meatctaft is excited to be carrying FRAPS-Dog Fuel Bars for all of our canine friends 🐕

FRAPS are 50g fuel bars are designed specifically for active adventure dogs. Currently we are carrying the Wild Pink Salmon and Beef bars, made with functional ingredients like pumpkin, honey, flaxseed, collagen, green-lipped mussels and rosemary.

These bars will surely have your pup pulling you in as you walk by 👌🏻

Turkey time 🦃

This year Millers Meatctaft has partnered up with Ruckle Heritage Farms on Salt Spring Island to bring you the most ethical thanksgiving turkey for your feast 👌🏻

Ruckle Farm raises free-range Nicholas White turkeys at their beautiful heritage farm on Salt Spring Island.

These happy birds are raised with care and are able to exhibit their natural behaviors. Unlike animals raised in confinement, their birds enjoy a diversified diet that includes foraging for insects and various plants to complement the feed we provide.🌾

At the end of their life, the turkeys take a short ride to our local on-island abattoir where they are humanely slaughtered.

Note from the farmer -
"Our customers rave about how much more flavorful our turkeys are compared to what they used to buy and marvel at how much food these birds provide. Not only is that a lot of food, but it’s food that nourishes on a deep level."

We have a very limited number of 25 birds coming our way at a bit of a premium price, but we know that you will appreciate the difference. ☺️

We are extremely excited to carry copies of the book "Radical Farm" written by who lives and works with her family on on Salt Spring Island. To us, this book is a wonderful outline on how we can help improve our own food security on Bowen Island and to bring awareness to everyone about why these systems matter for our food supply.

Brewery and the Beast 2026 🦬

This mighty little shop headed over to the big city this weekend for a massive beer and BBQ fest ! With nearly 1000 portions of pork belly bites smoked, sauced and served, we can safely say that our second year was an enormous success. 🔥

Big shout out to the organizers for squeezing in the smoker, and to the meat sponsors and for donating the delicious pork!🐖

And a big thank you to Jody Peck from for coming along and helping us out 🔪

Maybe we do a smaller version on Bowen someday? 😉
