Dear Vendors and Community Members,
We would like to share an update with you regarding the Christopher Lake Farmers’ Market. In response to recent requirements from the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division (SRSD), and in order to keep the Farmers’ Market in its original and much-loved location, we have taken steps to move forward by creating a board and officially registering as an entity with Information Services Corporation (Province of Saskatchewan).
This change allows us to operate in a more structured and sustainable way. By becoming a registered entity, we are now able to purchase group liability insurance and ensure that decisions regarding the market are discussed and made as a group. This brings a stronger sense of collaboration and shared responsibility for the future of our market.
We truly believe this is a positive step forward – not only for the Farmers’ Market itself but for all of our valued vendors. Our goal is to maintain and strengthen the integrity, transparency, and accountability of the market, while continuing to create an enjoyable, welcoming environment for everyone involved.
Most importantly, we remain committed to keeping the Farmers’ Market a fun and vibrant place to visit on Saturday mornings. Over the years, it has become a highlight of the summer season for so many residents and visitors, and we are excited to continue building on that tradition together.
Thank you for your ongoing support, understanding, and enthusiasm, as we take these steps forward. We look forward to another fantastic season for both the vendors and our community.
