Remember to join us this Thursday, May 21, at 6:00pm for our Annual General Meeting!

It's a great opportunity to gather with like-minded folks who care about supporting local food and entrepreneurship.

This year's meeting will be at the Creston campus off College of the Rockies. There will be several presentations and we will hear from Vanessa Lozecznik, Manager at the College, about ag programs in the works. Refreshments and a time to visit will follow the meeting.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support our community has shown over the past two days.

Thank you to everyone who came out for a tour of the Kootenay Farms Food Hub to learn more about the many businesses using the hub, the programs supporting our community, and the work being done to strengthen local food systems. We also appreciate everyone who stopped by our new store to shop local and support our producers.

A special thank you as well to those who purchased their Legacy Funders block. Every contribution brings us one step closer to reaching our goal and ensuring the Food Hub remains a valuable community resource for years to come.

We are getting closer every single day, and we couldn’t do it without all of you.
Just a reminder that our store is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.

Come on down to our location at 401 Payne Street (right across from the bottle depot). You can stop by during the day, or even in the evening as we're here until 7:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 & 7.

come try some snacks and coffee, check out our local food storefront, and hear about our dream of buying the building and developing projects that will benefit the entire community!

A huge thank you to Swan Valley Honey for supporting our Buy a Block campaign by purchasing their block to help keep the Kootenay Farms Food Hub in community hands. 🍯🌱

Jeff chairs the Fields Forward Society, which operates the Food Hub, and Amanda chairs Creston Valley Food Action, which runs the Creston Valley Farmers Market and the Harvest Share Program. They know firsthand how vital these organizations are to our valley, our farmers, and local food security.

As local business owners whose products are enjoyed throughout BC, they also understand the daily realities and challenges faced by agricultural businesses. Their support reflects a deep commitment to strengthening our farming community and investing in a resilient local food system.

Good news for friends of local food. The Food Hub is opening a permanent retail store!

If you visited our seasonal shop in December, you'll have an idea of the glorious local products we'll have on hand—except this time we'll have even more!

You can find us at 401 Payne Street, which is the cinderblock building across from the bottle depot. Our first day is May 4, and we'll be open every weekday from 9:00-4:00.
