This client came in with a list of what she didn't want her hair to look like.
•Volume without looking round.
•Lots of layers without losing much length. •Fringe that could be versatile depending on her mood.
•More definition without it looking or feeling "crunchy".

Needless to say she was extremely happy with the results. 🤩

I don't know what the future may bring,
But I know for sure that I won't be looking back.❤️

This past weekend was my first real solo trip (longer than just a day trip). It was exciting because everything was on my time for my liking.☺️
I ended up driving 1000kms. Hiked 25kms in the cold and snow.❄️ Blasted the tunes. 🎶 And had a LOT of time to self reflect and journal.💭✍️

It was definitely what my soul was in need of.🥰

I think what people fear the most when they are alone is not the fear of actually being lonely but the fear of being alone with just their thoughts.

Everyday I realize a little bit more that I am going to be okay, because at the end of the day, I've got my own back.

I found a hole that I liked, got in it and took a picture.

What an adventure this trip turned into.😅
Got up at 2AM (after only 4 hrs sleep) to catch a sunrise in Lion's Head (which is a 3.5 hr drive for me).
Let's start by saying I should never trust a weather app. The forecast I was given was party cloudy until morning in which case if would become overcast. Well let me tell you, I drove into the clouds and by the time I had made it to Lion's Head it was snowing.🌨️ Needless to say I knew that there wouldn't be much to see beyond daybreak, so I opted to stay in my car and take a nap.😴
After my much needed nap, I made it out on the trail and got to enjoy Lion's Head ALL TO MYSELF!😁 It was windy and the skies were grey but the view was still spectacular!!😍
Eventually I made way back to my car trying to plan my next destination. Originally the idea was to head to Tobermory but with such grey skies and so little snow I decided to make my way back south in search of the white fluffy stuff.❄️❄️
My second location did NOT disappoint!🌨️❄️💙 So much snow! And to boot, I got to be the first on this trail since the last big snow fall so I only had markers to guide me and my fingers crossed that every step into the deep snow didn't end up with me slipping or falling through an empty space.
I did make it to my destination with a waterfall I hadn't seen since last year when it was frozen over and I could walk behind it. Currently it is flowing and looks completely different.😃 (This is what I love about nature, depending on so many factors it can look so different every time you visit).
After my waterfall I knew my time was coming to an end and I hit the road before my exhaustion set in. I did however get to enjoy a beautiful SUNSET on my drive home.🌇 When I did make it home I fell asleep only wake for something to eat and again to put the kids to bed and brush my teeth, then I went to bed and slept 11 hours. 😴😴😴😴😴
All in all, it was a good day. Lots of hiccups in the day but nothing a the girl can't handle.😉

How was your weekend?? Did you find yourself outside or are you still tucked up inside keeping warm?

In honor of here's a throwback to the last time I want waterfall chasing. Unfortunately, with such little rain in the area this year, the flow on the falls have been the weaker side.

Besides that I'm still grinding away. I'm on day 8 of at home workouts in my makeshift "gym" but my current mood is "F**k This! I'm going to come out of this shutdown bigger and better than when I went in it!"😈😏
Also I'm ready for some ❄️❄️❄️. I'm envious of all the snow falls I've been watching in others stories and it is making me want some SNOW to go play in.❄️🌨️

How have you been doing? What do you do to help keep your sanity these days?

My very talented friend
Captured this back in the fall during our last camping trip. She's definitely got an eye for beauty and I fell in love with this shot when she first sent it to me.😍❤️
A few weeks later she asked if her friend could edit a couple of photos from this shoot. Of course I said "yes" as I love seeing people's perceptions of the same thing.
When I received this edited photo my jaw literally hit the ground. 😲 The colors!!💛❤️💙💚The glow from the yellow dress!! 😍😍
Thank you for your magic touch. You made an already beautiful image just POP!! 💛😍💛

8 Years ago😳 VS Now🙌

It's hard to believe I let myself get so out of control during a time in my life when my health should have been made a priority. Pregnancy should have pushed me to want to learn more about nutrition and what I was putting into my body, yet instead I let it do the opposite and I let my inner fat child take the wheel. 😶
Here's the thing, before I was ever pregnant, I was never really healthy. I was the North American standard of "health" growing up. Eating a lot of processed foods and never really thinking that it had anything in relation to my weight, I just ate to much of it and that's why I was always a little"softer".🤷‍♀️
Starting in my early teens I dabbled in eating disorders trying to find the perfect one for me that would hopefully get me to skinny status. I settled on anerexia as going longer periods of time without eating was less challenging then trying to make yourself throw up (it doesn't help that I had a strong gag reflex which left my throat scratched to s**t with very little "reward").
In my early 20's I finally "figured out" the whole weight loss trick. Eat very little (and try to time it when you know you'll be around others, so as not to look like you don't eat😏) and become extremely stressed out at something that eats away at your soul little by little. The weight will just fall off. 😬
I controlled my weight loss on lack of food and stress.

So, when I found out I was pregnant I did the only other thing I knew how to do and that was eat!! I figured the goal wasn't too be skinny while pregnant so instead I let the pregnant girl eat whatever the f**k she wanted, WHENEVER the f**k she wanted!!

It was Bad!!
I gained over 80 pounds!!🤯
I stopped getting on the scale after 36weeks once I saw the scale hit 205! (I am 5'3" and I went until 41 weeks so I am sure I was even heavier in delivery).

I just wish I could go back and stop myself from going out of control. At the same time I take it as a lesson because after my daughter's birthday that's when I really started educating myself on food and nutrition. That pregnancy was really the start of my fitness journey. ❤️

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT TIME📢

I'm so excited to share with you that I am the newest addition to the sponsored athletes team!!🎉
I've been using their products for a little while now and can't rave ENOUGH about them!!

One of my favorite products I use daily is their BCAA's (Branch Chain Amino Acids, for anyone not sure what that stands for). Not only does it taste DELICIOUS😋 but it helps with muscle recovery and growth and increased performance (which is perfect for my workouts💪).
Also, it can help with fatigue which is why I love to drink it during my hiking adventures.

Added BONUS! You can drink it throughout the day! 🎉 Meaning staying hydrated just got a whole lot easier. 😉

Go check out

And use my code 'LizsiD' for an additional 10% off all products.
