...NOTICE...
After much consideration, Opa has decided to retire Opa's Garden.
We would like to thank all our customers over the last 19 years. We have made wonderful friends and acquaintances and will miss that part of Opa's.
On a happy note, Opa is looking forward to his retirement and planning for summer travelling.
Our hope is that someone will take advantage of this notice and open their own garden market locally.
Again, we say a big Thank You!!
Louis and Janie Oickle

Here at Opa's, we've had some excitement this morning. Our 1st attempt at raising a Monarch Butterfly from a caterpillar to a butterfly has been successful. This is him shortly after leaving his chrysalis and at just 1 hr old. We'll release him once his wings have dried and expanded.

Labor Day, Sept 1st, will be our last day open for the 2025 season. We've had a great season, reconnecting with old friends and meeting new folks from distant places and missing others who no longer come to our shores. We appreciate you all ❤️!

Opa needs a break from the extreme heat so we have decided to close for the day on Wednesday, August 13th. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We'll be open again as usual on Thursday at noon.

For those who have frequented Opa's over the years, you may have met and remember my sister, Ruth Mitton. Ruth was our stand-in at Opa's when we couldnt be there. Her Chow Chow was the best.
Ruth passed away in March from cancer. We will miss her always❤️.
Her picture and a link to her obituary are below.

Randi surprised us here at Opa's with a new craft she has excelled at over the winter. Hand made greeting cards and quilled snowflakes.
The greeting cards are blank, some Christmas, some retro, some quilled, and all delightful.
