Virginia's Kitchen & Garden Following my retirement, I became involved in the local farmer's market, selling vegetables and fruit. Their guidance was invaluable in starting this venture.

I expanded to baked goods such as bread, buns, and baguettes, as well as jams and a variety of pickles and relishes. I retired six years ago and took up gardening and participating in the farmers market, following my in-laws' footsteps who had done it for 20 years. Wanting better baguettes than store-bought ones, I began baking my own and found success selling them at the market. This expanded to bread and hamburger buns, which also became popular. When a friend with cancer needed sugar-free options, I tweaked a granola recipe and started selling it at the market upon encouragement from friends and family. I am grateful to offer healthy, chemical-free food to my community, and seeing returning customers is wonderful. Our grandson has joined us at the market, and he enjoys it as much as we do.
