When Preye came into my life, I began learning so much more about the unique needs of African skin and Afro hair. Watching her care for her son Mofeโs hair opened my eyes to the challenges many families face with dryness, breakage, and moisture retention.
Thatโs what inspired us to create Kinky Coils โFro Balm โ a product designed to help nourish, soften, moisturize, and manage Afro hair with care.
Then one weekend while Mofe was spending a guysโ weekend with Bowman and I, Preye noticed his skin was looking ashy. That moment sparked the creation of our แปshun Body Cream โ formulated to provide deep, lasting hydration and leave skin looking healthy, radiant, and moisturized all day long.
Most people donโt realize that แปshun is a Yoruba Orisha associated with fresh water, beauty, love, fertility, and prosperity. The name felt like a beautiful fit for a cream created to nourish skin and leave it looking healthy, radiant, and cared for.
Today, I was surprised with some exciting news: Preye delivered our products to SEWA African Market on Merigomish Rd, and Mt. Thom Soap Company officially has a new retail account.
Thank you to everyone supporting Mt.Thom Soap Company and Kinky Coils. And thank you Preye, Tobi, Oyinda, and Mofe for trusting me in this journey. โค๏ธ
