New West Society of Apple Pickers & Pressers Apples. Pick ‘em. Share 'em. Wash ‘em. Chop ‘em. Smash ‘em. Press ‘em. Jar ‘em. Drink ‘em. Making jui Plus, there will be games, live music and more!

Inspired by the seeds of long-established apple cider traditions, from places as distant as Moody Park, East Van, Vermont and Creston, the New West Society of Apple Pickers & Pressers brings people together through the goodliness and yumminess of our sometimes sweet, sometimes tart, round friend. The Society has been established by a fathers-sons team of Mark Gifford, William Mah, Isaiah Martin-Gi

fford & Leo Trentadue-Mah, with contributions from a growing list of friends and supporters. Our first community event is the New West Apple Press Fest on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 11-4 at Lord Kelvin Elementary School. Come on out and join your neighbours in celebrating the fall harvest -- and bring home some fresh (non-alcoholic) apple cider! Learn first-hand how to press apples into a sweet cider that can be boiled, bottled, and enjoyed year-round. We’ll have several cider presses ready to juice your neighbourhood apples, as well as almost 1000 pounds of apples from our friends at Buy-Low Foods.
