Spring Break Time! The Williams Lake Indoor Farmers' Market is taking a Friday off - no Market on March 20th - but we will be back in the Gibraltar Room on Friday, March 27th with a full vendor roster, PLUS we will be co-hosting the 17th annual Seedy Saturday in the TRU Gymnasium the very next day, March 28th. It's all looking absolutely awesome - please plan on joining us as we welcome spring things! 🌱🌷🪻🪺🌿🌞

Our AGM today was well attended. It was an interesting, productive meeting. Now we are organizing the upcoming season, which begins Friday May 8th. We will keep you posted on the new ideas we'll be trying, events we'll be throwing and anything else of interest. Volunteers welcomed!

We hope you’re enjoying the winter season, and are looking forward to another wonderful market season coming in a few months.

Upcoming Event: Annual General Meeting

Our 2026 AGM is coming up on Saturday, March 14, at 1pm at the 100 Mile Curling Club Lounge, 175B Wrangler Way.

What happens at our AGM?

At the AGM we review Market business from the previous year and discuss possible improvements. We review our treasurer’s report and give input on this year’s budget. We’ll be doing a review of our bylaws , and also be holding elections for any open positions on our volunteer board of directors. Please read the bylaw proposal ahead of the meeting -Please contact us for a copy of this proposal.
All are welcome to attend, and voting members are also able to give input on market discussions and decisions.
Additionally, 2025 members are asked to send any motions they wish the membership to discuss at the meeting to [email protected], please submit any requests no later than two weeks before the scheduled meeting date.

Request for Director Nominations & Meeting Motions
Would you, or a fellow market member consider being part for our volunteer board of directors? Please send us an email with your suggestion and their contact information, (Name, email address and business name) or request the nomination form . Please keep in mind, nominees must be members in good-standing for a minimum of 3 months and need to have an endorsement from a fellow SCFM member also having a minimum 3 months good standing membership.

This year, Tracy is ending her term (thank you for your service!) and Georgia, Richard and Kelsey have finished their terms and are willing to continue for another term based on re-relection.

Upcoming 2026 Market Season
In 2026 the South Cariboo Farmers’ Market will once again be held at the Community Hall downtown. There are vendor spaces available inside and outside the hall. The market will start Friday, May 8 and run until October 9th. Applications to the market can be made online at www.southcariboofarmersmarket.org. Our Market Manager Heather Balaam is also available to answer vendor questions and can be reached at [email protected].

📢Attention Bee Yard Operators & Organic Growers

In May, the CRD begins treating known sites of invasive plants on private and public lands.
Knowing the location of all Bee Yards and Organic Farms helps us carry out our Invasive Plant Management program effectively.

So, if you're a Beekeeper or an Organic Grower, please advise the CRD between February 1 and March 1 of each year with the following information:
🌱your business/contact name and contact information;
🌱legal description of the property or site;
🌱description and map of property location; and
🌱any additional information.
