It’s corn season! We’re making creamy jalapeño corn topped with tender jumbo shrimp sautéed in garlic, butter, and chili flakes 😋

🌽Jalapeño Creamed Corn
Ingredients:
▫️1 L fresh or frozen corn
▫️500 mL 35% cream
▫️1 medium jalapeño, chopped
▫️1 medium onion, diced
▫️60 mL butter
▫️15 mL neutral oil
▫️Salt and pepper

Method:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add onion and jalapeño and sauté until soft.
Add corn and continue to sauté.
Add cream and simmer until slightly reduced and light yellow in colour.
Using an immersion blender, pulse until creamy and thick, leaving some texture.
Stir in butter and season with salt and pepper.

🍤Sautéed Jumbo Shrimp
Ingredients:
▫️Jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
▫️Butter
▫️Garlic
▫️Chili flakes
▫️Salt and pepper

Method:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter.
Add garlic and chili flakes.
Add shrimp and sauté until cooked through and lightly browned.
Season with salt and pepper.

Spoon the creamy corn onto the plate, top with the jumbo shrimp, and finish with the garlic-chili butter. Enjoy!
