The weather was not on our side this year... it really felt like we never got a summer. Just cool, wet, fall like conditions. A lot of our crops didn't do as well as we hoped, but our herbs still put out.

Sage, this is year 3 green sage

Oregano, 2 year old plants that have produced beautifully!

Spring planted green onions that are thick and aromatic

Chives (some of these came from bc!) The plants are about 6ish years old. They've grown so well.

Garlic. It's a staple crop on our farm. One of the first thing I planted back in 2022. Before we had a tiller or any idea where the water sat on our land.

This year pushed our garlic harvesting by several weeks.

It wasn't by choice, we had a massive leak in our shop that needed to be fixed. Which meant moving our growhouse and reorganizing everything.

Then we had to prep for the Ren faire. Which I highly recommend that was such a blast!

Because of cooler than normal conditions and things being incredibly wet, our crop was definitely below average. That is all part of farming.

We don't sell what we grow, as our spices use up all of it almost faster than we can grow it 🫣

This is quite possibly my favorite flavor of the week so far!

Oh my god

This week's flavor of the week is... Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!
Made with my chocolate chip cookie dough recipe. I incorporated the cookie dough into the bread dough then did a layer of cookie dough before forming!
Sweet and fluffy. With cookies exploding out of the crust!
I'll be at the Grande Prairie Farmers Market today from 4pm-7pm and tomorrow from 10am-3pm!
