Luv the way change tastes At Luv The Grub we make change taste delicious. What's a second you say?

Ethics run deep into the core of what we do from the ingredients we use to the way we make our products. Each jam, jelly and chutney is made with fruit and vegetable seconds and provides employment to women with barriers to employment. Well it's perfectly delicious fruits and vegetables that didn't quite make it to the produce aisle of our local grocery store because they were either bent, bruised

, misshapen or simply because there was too much of it. We rescue these beauties and give them and people a second chance by turning them into glorious chutneys, jams and jellies all the while delivering on an employment training program for people who need it the most. So with each dollop, spread, dip, lick and bite of our products; you're doing more than just eating and supporting local, you're also spreading love to the people and planet around us....so go ahead - love the way change tastes

We've been pretty quiet on here but have been busy behind the scenes. 1/3 of all food is wasted and at the same time 1/7 people are food insecure. While I've been so proud of what we have accomplished to support food recovery, I haven't been able to shake off (and for a very long time) that we haven't been doing our part to support the newcomer community we work with with food security and food incubation to amplify their own amazing food businesses.

And with that...Luv The Grub is transforming into a larger food hub initiative with an expanded very exciting team including Asha Wheeldon from Trixie Liang from and Marcelo Cohen a coop developer

Together we will be tackling food insecurity with culturally significant foods, further our food incubation with newcomer refugee communities and living and doing into cooperative, community driven principles.

Follow along as we take you behind the scenes, it's going to be a ride and we can't wait to take you all along!

Our why has always been to do our part in eliminating food waste. By upcylcing produce seconds into gourmet chutneys we elongate the shelf life by 2 years all the while making some pretty bad ass chutneys ❤

Here is Alia, our CEO and President of LUV the Grub. Many of you guys do not know this but, she is a super woman! She is a lecturer at SFU teaching sustainability, she is an icon in the community for social enterprise work, and she is a mom! 🙌🏽💪🏽
