Today I pretended to be a high functioning adult and got myself set up for the week… breakfast snackle boxes, Greek orzo bowls with dressing, homemade pizza with the best sauce, chili in the slowcooker and Greek/lemon chicken thighs (some for lunch bowls and the rest spare for weeknight dinner options!)

Sausage and Potato soup… this is THE BEST soup I have ever made!! Honestly I think it’s all because of these spices!!
Remember broth mix powder will save you money (use only what you need without wasting partial cartons) and space and heavy lifting unnecessary cartons!

But this one??? Omg so much better than broth cartons!!! Delicious!!

Hello! It’s been awhile! I wanted to let you know 2 things…
1) That I’m still here. I took a leave from my hospital nurse job, and I have moved into my dad’s home to be his fulltime nurse. He is considered palliative but stable for now. My dad is a big fan of baseball and the jays, so we are having a blast watching the World Series!!
Just between you and me… it’s been so awesome to run away to live with my dad in a 90’s time capsule home…. Right now I have to remember I’m not 15… and that the jays in the World Series is 2025 -and not 1993 when the last time him and I lived together just the 2 of us ❤️

2) I just want to take a moment and reflect how grateful I am for those of you who have taken a chance on A Spice Affair so far via my website. Starting a new venture after 12 years of Epicure is has not been easy… Life has been on pause since August 12… however to those of you who have trusted me to take a chance on this new thing - it is extra special- Thankyou❤️ I have heard from most of you how much better you love it -and that makes my heart really happy!!

To anyone who orders - expect a little something in the mail from me! 😉 I’m just getting the 1st batch out now while hanging with dad.

From my friend Sandy Savage- she says….

OH MY GOODNESS! I made the brownies today and they are amazing! Our oldest son had Celiac Disease, so we have tried A LOT of brownie mixes over the years. And hands down this is the best texture ever! They are melt-in-your mouth soft, with not even a hint of the usual grittiness in gluten-free baked goods. And they are so chocolatey! Like decadent, high-end chocolate! It took the full 25 minutes baking time in our oven, and I will confess we didn’t let them cool the full 10 minutes suggested on the package. We just couldn’t wait! And we might have had 2 pieces each 🙂

PS - I might have just a sliver of a piece this morning, just to check the texture after they had sat in the pan on our counter, covered with foil. And I can confirm, they are still fudgy and delicious!
