A big thank you to Inspire West Hants for featuring Saturno Maple Farm as an Inspiring Business. It means a lot to our family to be recognized in the community we’re so proud to call home.
We truly enjoy welcoming people to the farm, sharing a little bit of what we do, supporting our neighbours and local organizations, and helping visitors discover everything Avondale and West Hants have to offer.

The Inspiring Business Program promotes West Hants businesses who contribute to a strong and vibrant West Hants!
This program marries the Support Local movement with businesses that also support our community. We want to celebrate businesses that invest in our community’s vibrancy through donations, fundraising, sponsorships, community drives, volunteering, and so much more!
Our next West Hants Inspiring Business is Saturno Maple Farm!
Saturno Maple Farm is a family-run business, operated completely by Robert, his wife and their son who all play a part in the experience at the farm.
Giving back to the community is an important part of what they do. Saturno Maple Farm has donated both cash and family maple farm tour passes to support their local community hall and its fundraising efforts.
The farm welcomes local families, homeschool groups, seniors, and community organizations to experience the farm and learn more about maple production and agriculture. Their tours provide an educational and immersive experience where visitors can learn about the maple-making process from start to finish and discover where the food we enjoy comes from.
Saturno Maple Farm also believes in supporting the wider West Hants community. They help promote Avondale and other nearby West Hants attractions to their visitors, encouraging people to make a day of their trip and explore and support other local businesses along the way.
They also participate in and promote local community events whenever they can, helping create connections between visitors, residents, and other businesses in the area. More than anything, Saturno Maple Farm strives to make their farm a welcoming place where both local residents and visitors can learn, explore, and connect with agriculture. They are a prime example of how businesses can choose to operate sustainably and promote climate-informed choices.
From the first drop of sap to the finished maple product, their tours offer a truly immersive experience and a chance to see how maple products are made from start to finish.
