INTRODUCTION

The sun is out and the sky is blazing it. I fix my school uniform by humming a song . I took one last glance at the mirror before heading out of the room . I went to the kitchen and saw my mother cooking her soft maize meal maize meal porridge . I kissed her on the cheek .

Me : Hey mommy .

Mom : hi baby . How did you sleep ?

Me : I didn't sleep at all Ma , just studying .

Mom : but you're energetic.

Me : this is the last day I am being defined as a matriculant and the last time wearing a school uniform . I'm just happy that I will go look for a job for us .

Her eyes dropped back to the porridge . I know she doesn't want me to go look for work but to continue with school and I am not in denial but first things first then the rest can follow .

Mom : sit down , i'll dish up for you now .

Me : well I can't wait .

Mom : you'll learn to have patience Olwam .

Me : but the delicious aroma doesn't do any justice to my stomach .

We both laughed . She took out bowls and dished up for the both of us . I stood up and checked if we had any sugar left and there was nothing in the sugar basin . My mother looked at me with a worried face . I just smiled looking at her .

Me : don't worry about not having it with sugar . The only sweetest thing is that it was cooked by my mother who is my favorite person on earth with love .

A smile crept on her face . I took my bowl and started eating my porridge and had a small conversation with my mother . I stood up to wash my bowl .Thuli walked inside the house as bubbly as she was .

Thuli : hey Ma .

Mom : hey baby , how are you ?

Thuli : i'm fine and you ?

Mom : I am doing fine . Sit down so that I can dish up for you

Thuli : if only we were not going to be late , I was going to dish up for myself and eat because no one can resist your food .

My mother smiled and knowing Thuli could do that . She has always been like this . I quickly went to her bedroom where the mirror is .

Mom : Olwam! hurry up before you become late .

Me : i'm almost done Mom!

I shouted from the bedroom . I wanted to look at myself one more last time before we go . I took my backpack and walked out with Thuli . Like every morning , she always has tea to spill . My friend is a gossiper and if her news isn't about school kids then it's about people around our community . Me here ? I just lend her an ear and listen to her talking the whole way to school .

Thuli : i'm just concerned about her children but why did she do that ? Why ?

Yep that's her , she comes with the news and asks me questions like I am that person right now .

Me : kodwa mngani who are we to judge her ?

Thuli : we are people . She just got off her high horse .

I chuckled as we walked inside the school premises . We first attended assembly before going to our class waiting for the bell to ring . Masande walked inside the class with her minions holding her backpack as always .

Masande : Witches .

Thuli : a witch is your mother .

She asked turning to looking at us .

I whispered .

Thuli : you heard me .

She laughed folding her arms . She turned to her minions .

Masande : did she just call my mom a witch ?

They nodded and she turned back to look at us , at Thuli.

Masande : you just called my mom a witch while your mother is the community bicycle .

Thuli charged towards her . I quickly grabbed her wrist .

Masande : heyi! poor thing leave her! I want to see what she can do other than following her mother's footsteps of being a community bicycle .

I shook my head looking at her . Thuli was breathing heavily because of the anger that shows she's very angry .

Me : You might get disqualified and not write . Remember today you're writing the last paper that will define your future . Don't let her ruin that moment for you .

She looked at me and I nodded .

Masande : hey wena reject! What are you busy saying ? If I were you wena Thuli I wouldn't take any word coming from this brainless stupid rejection . Her father even ran away because he saw that she's ugly and brainless just like her mother .

Those words were directed to me . I decided to ignore her .

Masande : her father went to buy bread and never returned .

They laughed at this lame joke she was sharing with her minions about my father .

Thuli : what's your problem with her father ? You're just jealous that she's more beautiful than you are .

She laughed out loud clapping her hands .

Masande : did she say beauty ?

She asked looking at her minions and they laughed.

Masande : don't make me laugh . Maybe I just heard wrong but this ugly poor thing can never be beautiful . She's just smelling poor–

She got interrupted by the bell rang indicating that we should go to the hall to write . I just took Thuli's hand and we walked out because I am used to those words . We went to the hall where we are going to write .

I fold my arms & turned to watch the TV .
Nathi : Are you mad at me ?
I didn't answer him . I was even bored by this movie . I took my phone & went through my socials . He snatched my phone away from me .
Me : Can't hours pass without me being irritated by you .
He chuckled looking at me .
Nathi : You can't be scrolling on your phone while I'm here .
Me : Bro you have a girlfriend & a phone so why not checking up on her . You even have a parents you haven't seen in ages . Please give mey phone & check up on your loved ones
Nathi : there's absolutely nothing wrong with them for me to be checking up on them .
He scrolled on my phone . I let him be maybe he will get what he is searching for . I stood up & took my glass and my way to the kitchen . I rinsed the glass & left it on the sink to dry up . I opened the fridge & saw an ice cream tub it's even one of my favourite"blue berry & vanilla . I took up an bowl & dishes up for myself . I put back in the fridge the ice cream tub before walking away .
Nathi : And where's mine ?
Me : God gave you both hands & feets so stand up . You aren't paralyzed
Nathi : i carried two glasses of juice here & gave you one of them but it's hard on you to dish up for both of us & carry them here .
I sat down & ate my ice cream . I moaned as I eat my ice cream .
Me : You should try it . Its nice besides how come my favourite ice cream be in your fridge ?
Nathi : Buz'kunya . I brought it because I love it .
I laughed at him as he was still going through my phone . He stand up & fixed himself . He put both our phones into his pockets & walked to the kitchen . He came back with empty hands & looked at my bowl . He again snatched the bowl & ran away from me eating . I also runed after him . He got in a study room running . He didn't lock himself there but instead he continued to run to another door in the study room . I opened the door he got into & there were stairs that Indicated down . I looked around me but I didn't saw Nathi . I walked down through the stairs . There was a beautifull green garden . I walked through it . I wish my phone was with me so that I can take pictures of what I love . I continue walking along & there was a bench . Nathi was sitting there eating my ice cream . I looked at him shaking my head . I stood up making my way to the kitchen. I open the fridge looking for something to eat . I took out a Parmalat 1kg yoghurt & sat down on the high chair. I took a spoon & started eating while going through my socials . Inathi 's call came in . I answered while taking a spoon .

I went closet & took out a black Jean with my oversized tee . I comb my hair into a bun & did edges . I wore my black tyre boots. I putted on my "Far away "perfume . I made my bed . I took my phone with my pink headphones & headed downstairs. They were all siting in the lounge. Busy eating breakfast.
Me : Good morning
They all said it back . I headed to the kitchen
Indi : Your food is in the microwave
Me : Thank you baby
I took out a blender & oats from the cupboards . I took out from the fridge: Green grapes ; green apple & bananas . I putted on some music & connected my headphones. I listened to Amapiano . I cutted into slice the bananas with the grape & diced the Apple . I placed them all in the blender with an Almond milk. It started processing. I went to the microwave. I took my breakfast & sat down on the high chair & started eating while listening to the music . I was done eating in no time . I washed my plate & placed it back . I took my smoothie bottle & my smoothie got done . I took a spoon & tasted in out . It was really good . I went to the lounge carrying my smoothie & went to sit down . I took off my headphones
Linethemba : I only know that if a person is having a smoothie, that person is pregnant but we don't know about you
Me : Well for more knowledge. Smoothie is also for your health pregnant or not .
Line : You took out my handsome boyfriend & didn't even think that "no man this not my boyfriend. I have to return him back to his girlfriend " just to also have time with him & to spoil him .
I took my smoothie & wore back my headphones. I went outside. It's not that I am afraid of her. The thing is I'm avoiding drama from her

Him : okay
Me : as I have told you that I don't not want your money . As you can see this is a club where everyone wants to enjoy & feel themselves. Not a Sunday chill .
Him : I hear you but get to the point
Me : phew , Okay . Can I be the DJ . Just for today. Your DJ's hitlist is so boring that is why I'm saying that we are now in a tarven listen to Sunday chill . If not , I understand
He chuckled looking at me
Him : You know , I was just going out looking for a deejay but well what can I say because she is right here infront of my eyes looking so beautiful . Can I ask you something?
Me : Yeah sure . Shoot
Him : I'm bandile you know , my question is do you have a boyfriend because wow you are everything that I need and men out there would like to have , you know
I chuckled looking around me .
Me : Can I not answer your questions r.n and just get on stage .
Him : Okay , I'm sorry . I can see that you are ready to make my customers & clients happy . So let's go .
I nodded looking at him . His guard leaded the way & we were inbetween his gaurds , so no one was able to come close to us or do something. We went on the stand .

He went to whisper something on the deejay . He called me closer & the deejay started saying goodbye to the crowd. He gave me the headphones smiling .
Deejay : Hey , I'm Bulelani by the way
Me : Hi , I'm Alime by the way
We handshake, he didn't wanna let my hand go .
Bulelani: Nice to meet you but you're beautiful & so much beautiful. When I lay my eyes on you , I feel my heart beating so much for . Something it has never done before
I chuckled looking at him . He was looking straight in my eyes .
Bandile: Hey hey , She is mine & she has a job to do .
Bulelani chuckled looking at me.

They both chuckled looking at me . They were busy talking & laughing looking at me . I took a mic .

Crowd : Hi
Me : I cannot hear you

They started cheering up & screams from the ladies with whistles from the guys .
Crowd: Lime we wanna party , lime we wanna party .
I played quickly organised a playlist & everyone started cheering with their glasses up . They were dancing & I was also helping them . I saw how happy they was with my playlist hit . I looked around searching with my eyes for Nathi . But I was full I couldn't see him anywhere. Maybe he is angry that I lied to him about going to the bathroom. I pause the music for a while . The crowd were mumbling.
Me : I'm sorry guys but I allow me to say this because it is the reason me deejaying r.n . It's Nathi's birthday today so let's just raise our glasses up & wish for him a happy birthday with more & more many years to come . Enjoy Nathi & I love you . Let's all celebrate his birthday. This playlist was made out of his name since today it's his special day .

I continue along resuming the playlist. I look down at the crowd. I saw Inathi waving his hand & blowing kisses. I returned it back . I looked around him & Nathi was in their table looking at me . I smiled shaking my head . I also partied with Bulelani & bandile afar from me . I looked back in the VIP section where Nathi & the crew were seated but I saw him & this other strange guy being head to head . Called Bulelani to come closer . I asked him to keep an eye on the set . I handed him the headphones & I hurried going down with two gaurds following me behind . I reached their section .
Indi : I didn't know that you are skilled when it comes to music
Inathi : Your playlist it's fire
I went inbetween Nathi & this guy . I took away his arm & walk away with him . people were coming to complement me by beauty & that my playlist is doing so great . Others were coming near me but the gaurds removed them out of my way . We went up & Bulelani handed the headphones back . I continue playing & dancing with Nathi next to me . It was already midnight & my time was over .
Me : Goodbye guys
The crowd was mumbling & not want to let me go . Bulelani continued after me & people were becoming bored . Bandile called me to his office . I walked with Nathi in

They both chuckled looking at me . They both handshake & saluted each other in a fist pump . I looked over them shocked . I didn't know that they knew each other .
Me : Okay , enough I'm tired now get to the point because I owe you nothing.
