How LaGrange, North Carolina’s Curtis Brooks is Building a Successful Afrobeats/Hip Hop Label in Cameroon

Curtis Brooks, from LaGrange, North Carolina, is making his mark in the African music scene with Worldwide Empire Music, a label focused on The Sounds of Young Africa. Recently, he signed rising star Tevez from Bamenda, Cameroon. Under the record label, Tevez released his debut single “Grimba” and its remix which gained so much attention from music lovers across the continent.

Brooks, with help from Braxton—whom he calls “the Dr. Dre of Africa”—is shaping Worldwide Empire Music’s sound. Handy, a talented producer from Douala, Cameroon, is instrumental in merging African rhythms with a global appeal.

His deep love for Africa drives his mission: to showcase Africa’s brilliant talent on a global stage. He has signed rising superstars like YG Tevez who is already leading the charge, setting the standard for what’s to come from Worldwide Empire Music.
