HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORLD CLIMATE DAY

As we celebrate International World Climate Day, PROSDOMA joins the global community in advocating for urgent climate action and environmental protection.

Climate change is increasingly affecting our communities through rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, environmental degradation, and growing pressure on natural resources. These challenges threaten livelihoods, food security, water resources, and the well-being of future generations.

Our recent participation in World Environment Day activities reflects PROSDOMA's commitment to environmental sustainability and community resilience. On Saturday 30th-May 2026 in Yaounde, Cameroon, PROSDOMA Honoured for Outstanding Impact in Sustainable Development

PROSDOMA has been awarded the Outstanding Impact in Sustainable Development Award in recognition of its visionary initiatives that have significantly contributed to the socio-economic and environmental development of Donga-Mantung Division.

The organization was among several institutions and personalities honoured by The Voice Newspaper during its 10th anniversary celebration held today in Yaounde.

Receiving the award on behalf of PROSDOMA was the organization's PR Manager, Ndi Eugene Ndi, who attended the ceremony and accepted the distinction in recognition of PROSDOMA's commitment to sustainable community development and positive social transformation.

The award highlights PROSDOMA's continued efforts to promote development initiatives that improve livelihoods, foster environmental sustainability, and contribute to the overall progress of communities in Donga-Mantung.

🌍 Strengthening Drought Resilience Across Africa
Today, PROSDOMA was pleased to take part in an important webinar: the UNCCD Africa Communities of Learning and Practice (CLPs) on drought management.

The theme was focused on creating and using better national policies to help countries prepare for and survive droughts. It was an incredibly insightful session for us as we continue our journey toward full UNCCD accreditation.

We listened to helpful presentations from Country Focal Points and UNCCD experts from Eswatini, Cameroon, and several other nations. They shared:

Ways to move from just "reacting" to a crisis to "preparing" for one.

Real-life lessons on building stronger, more resilient communities.

As an organization with partial UNCCD accreditation—and looking forward to our full acceptance at the UNCCD COP in Mongolia this August—this meeting was vital.

Our mission at PROSDOMA aligns perfectly with the UNCCD’s vision. We are dedicated to raising awareness about how climate change causes displacement and migration. Through our digital storytelling projects, we give a voice to those forced to leave their homes due to environmental changes.
