Our Story
Our founder of Hansons Group, Late Mr Hardip Narayan was born on the 1st of February 1934, in Raralevu, Nausori . His father, a well known farmer, Mr. Sukh Narayan, came to Fiji Islands during the indenture days, however he did not serve as an indentured laborer under G.I.R.M.I.T.
Mr. Narayan went to Krishna Vedic Schoolin Kuku, Nausori and later moved to Vuci Primary school. Mr. Narayan had to work with his father in his farm, and thus could not further pursue his studies; however this could not deter his hope and confidence he had in him for his life time achievements which is evident today and speaks for itself today.
Mr Narayan started a small shop in Vuci Nausori in 1953 and after operating for a few years, Mr. Narayan saw an opportunity to move with his family to Pritam Singh Road, In Nasinu. Mr. Narayan started another small retail shop in Pritam Singh oad after which he further expanded his business into wholesaling and general groceries retail.
Along with time, dedication , hard work and family support , progress was maintained and his small retail was expanded to self service retail outlet , consisting of a Video Library , Liquor shop , Fancy and Frozen goods departments.
