Coming into it’s 5th year in 2026 The Summer Sizzler Sale has turned out to be a great success story for four friends who first established the sale to bring an elite market place for Northern Ireland sellers, with animals selling to Northern and Southern Ireland and across the water.

With the 2025 sale topping at an impressive 26,000gns and heifer averages well in excess of 6000gns the sale is a clear indicator of the quality of animals and pedigrees across Northern Ireland.

The Summer Sizzler Sale team are great advocates for Northern Ireland HYB and we are grateful for their continued support and sponsorship at our events!

Summer Sizzler SALE

✨Northern Ireland HYB is pleased to announce that new for 2026 we are bringing you a Super Six Winter Herds Competition ✨

This competition is open to ALL pedigree registered Holstein herds with a special judges award for a HYB member!

The rules are simple - Each team must consist of 6 milking cows including at least one heifer. As much or little preparation is required we just ask that there is to be no top lines and no leading of cows.

Awards will be presented in 5 categories-
🏅Best Heifer
🏅Best Junior Cow
🏅Best Senior Cow
🏆Overall Super Six
🏆Judges Choice - Awarded to a HYB member showing enthusiasm and knowledge of their entry

We think this a fantastic opportunity for Northern Ireland’s herds to showcase their cows and for all ages of HYB members to get involved and gain experience in something new!
