💚 Join Us for a Special Charity Fundraiser day TOMORROW at Purton House Organics 💚

We’re incredibly proud to be hosting a fundraising event in support of our very own Imo & Tilda, as they prepare to take on the incredible challenge of swimming the English Channel.

All funds raised will support Swim Tayka, a charity dedicated to providing free swimming lessons and water safety education for children.

Today marks 20 years since the farm lost its rock, Alex was Rowie’s husband and father to Imo, Tilda and Lilly.

Rowie and Alex met in their teens and shared many wonderful years together growing into their twenties they realised they would spend their lives together.

They shared a passion of good food and wanting a simple but honest life with community at its heart. Alex was a deep sea diver in the navy but he left the forces to set out starting Purton House Organics with Rowie.

There were many wonderful years on the farm with Alex and his girls. Sadly Alex was diagnosed with leukaemia and passed away on the 29th of May 2006. The years after were a struggle and running the farm was not easy. But Rowie and the girls are determined to keep the farm thriving and the community spirit there!

In July imo and Tilda will be swimming the English Channel in memory of their dad and his support of their swimming endeavours through their childhood. Alex and Rowie both loved swimming and the girls continue to to feel connected with him when in the open water 🩵🔱

Monday morning sowing squash with Imo 🌱

We’re growing a beautiful range of squash varieties on the farm, each with their own unique character and flavour:

The climbing French beans are officially in!! 🌱

These guys can grow up to 2 metres tall 🔥 We first sowed the seeds for these last month, and now they’ve germinated into healthy young plants they are ready to be popped into the ground!
