Without fail, you will find someone has got out of their enclosure when you arrive at the garden. It is usually a chicken or a duck, but the goats have been practising becoming escape artists the last 2 days 🤔😆

When the temperature inside the polytunnel is 35°C+ during the day, you have to work into the evening to get the watering and pricking out done! But the rewards of doing so are more than worth it 🌄💚

A huge thank you to everyone who turned up in less-than-ideal BBQ weather for our working bee last Sunday!

We forgot to take photos during the event (incl. of the very-welcome spread of food at the end) but here are some "after" photos with a few earlier ones to compare them to. It's such a boost to have had so much achieved in such a short space of time. Thank you so much 💚

To all our lovely customers and prospective customers, just a reminder that we’re having a working group session at the market garden this coming Sunday, May 17th from 10am until 1pm. Do come along and get stuck into some weeding, mulching, planting, and experience the joy that is community gardening. All efforts rewarded with a BBQ! We look forward to seeing you there x

There were hundreds, if not thousands, of starlings gathering in the trees around the market garden this afternoon. I didn't manage to capture their incredibly low overhead murmurations this time, unfortunately, but I am glad to report that I didn't get covered in excrement this time 😜
