Taking place across Glasgow on 13–14 November, the weekend brings together brilliant artists and grassroots venues while championing gender equity in live music and raising funds for Tiny Changes

For us, this partnership goes beyond music.

Prepmate is built around the belief that food, community and wellbeing are all connected, and we’re looking forward to exploring those connections throughout the build-up to November.

Beef & Lentil Cottage Pie 🥔🥩

Another simple meat-based alternative you can make using our Vegetable & Lentil Cottage Pie meal kit perfect if you want something hearty, comforting and family-friendly.

Just add beef mince, then use the kit ingredients to make a rich tomato and lentil filling, topped with soft mash and melted cheese. 🧀🥣

Serves 4 Cooking time: around 45–55 minutes

Simple method:

• Boil the potatoes and swede until soft, then mash with a little milk and butter.

• In a pan, cook the beef mince until browned with no pink left. Add garlic, carrots and tomato purée, then stir in the lentils, tinned tomatoes and stock.

• Let it gently bubble until the lentils are soft and the sauce has thickened. Stir through the spinach.

• Spoon the beef and lentil filling into an oven dish, spread the mash on top and sprinkle with cheese.

• Bake until golden and bubbling, then leave it to sit for 5 minutes before serving.

No perfect mash needed. No neat chopping needed. No pressure.
If it looks homemade, you’re doing it right.

Save this for an easy, affordable comfort meal.

Chicken, Tomato & Lentil Stuffed Jacket Potatoes 🥔🍅

An easy alternative recipe you can make using our Vegetable & Lentil Cottage Pie meal kit! 📦 Perfect if you fancy something a little different.
Soft jacket potatoes, topped with a warm chicken, tomato and lentil filling, finished with melted cheese. Simple, filling and family-friendly.

Serves 4 Cooking time: around 35–45 minutes

Simple method:

• Bake or microwave your potatoes until soft.

• In a pan, cook chopped chicken until white all the way through. Add garlic, carrots and tomato purée, then stir in the lentils, tinned tomatoes and stock.

• Let it gently bubble until the lentils are soft and the sauce has thickened. Stir through the spinach, then spoon the filling into your jacket potatoes.

• Top with cheese and pop under the grill until melted.

That’s it 👌🏻 no fancy skills needed.

Your potatoes can split, the filling can spill over, and the cheese can melt however it wants to. Homemade doesn’t need to be perfect.

Save this for an easy, affordable family dinner idea.
