At the quiet edge of a little wild garden live an enchanting pair of fairies, no bigger than the petals of a daisy. They were not always guardians of this place. Once, they were lost—battered by storms, wings worn thin, their magic dimmed by time and wandering.
The garden found them when they needed it most.
Patiently, the earth helped mend what had been broken. Sunlight warmed their spirits, dew stitched their wings, and the turning seasons reminded them how to hope again. As they healed, the garden chose them as its overseers, trusting them with every leaf, beetle, and whisper of wind.
For them, a special resting place was made: a tiny wooden bench, crafted with care in the Crafty Donkey Workshop in Tetford, Lincolnshire. Shaped by kind hands and quiet skill, it was placed beneath the watchful branches where the fairies could sit and survey their domain. From there, they greet the morning mist, share secrets at dusk, and watch the world grow.
Now they live life to the fullest. One fairy tends the rhythm of the seasons, guiding buds into bloom and leaves into their golden fall. The other dances with the breeze, scattering seeds, laughing with rain, and calling frost when winter must arrive.
And if you wander past the garden when the light is just right, you may glimpse them upon their little bench—feet swinging, wings glowing softly—content in the knowledge that even the lost and broken can find a place to belong, and that magic, once restored, is all the stronger for having been healed.
