When a friend from down south says he’s in Lincolnshire for a job and can we hang out, but it’s May and we really need more bee boxes because you’re struggling to fit that in around peak “looking after bees” time, you offer him dinner and create an outdoor factory set up to smash out a load of bee boxes 🐝💛🤣

Spent yesterday being a very enthusiastic beginner beekeeper while John did the actual expert stuff 🐝 Hive checks, hive splitting, introducing queens. Plus an accidental swarm catch in our back garden needed rehoming - actually quite a gentle bunch.

I suited up properly for the first time in a while and got right in there. The lovely landowner at one of our plots came out to watch and ended up asking nearly as many questions as me! 😀

John’s been beekeeping 16+ years and his day job is teaching, so he slipped straight into teacher mode and very patiently answered our one million questions.

I’m genuinely becoming a bit obsessed with how their whole world works. So, what do you want to know? Drop your questions below and I’ll find out for you 👇

Our first EVER website order has been packaged and sent 💛 (and excitingly, our second also came in this week too!)

It’s so bumming exciting, but I live in this constant ‘are we doing this right’ ‘does this look okay’ and John keeps reminding me we’re only six months in. We’re putting heart and soul into each step, and we are learning, and growing.

And what really matters is all the packaging is recyclable. Wildflower thank you cards give customers the opportunity to help our bees by planting something they’ll like. And of course every package includes our gorgeous honey 🍯
