Dani’s bees Multi award winning Honey & Beeswax products with a BUZZ

Eat. 🐝 Buzz. 🐝 Repeat. 🐝 So back I went to reading and studding on my own to get better prepared.
(1)

My journey into beekeeping started back in 2016 when I was looking for extra pollination for the plants, grown at our poly tunnel. After some months of extensive research and reading about all the things that can go wrong - I enrolled to beginners beekeeping course in Elgin (in June 2017) which made me fascinated by the wonderful honeybees but terrified at the same time. I wasn't ready yet and fea

red I can kill them if I start. During the winter of 2017/2018 I attended Aberdeen & District Beekeeping Association (ADBKA) Beginners Classes for beekeepers and actually decided that it's time I get hands on - so far reading about bees got me prepared and aware of the million factors to be considered, so I was not going to get any more ready, so off I went and put my name on the waiting list. So on 08th may 2018 I bought my first colony from ADBKA, transported the precious cargo from Crathes Castle, over the Cairn O'Mount to home and just like that I was a beekeeper :)

Fast forward and few swarms later - I passed the Scottish Beekeepers Association Basic Beekeeping exam (with distinction) and was awarded a BB certificate so it all become official - the rest is a history....

So far every competition I've entered - I walked away with an award or few at the different classes I competed in;

so to date Dani's Bees honey and beeswax have 31 awards, namely:

🍯Some news for the honey lovers 🍯

🏁 That’s the last bucket of Fasque honey jarred and there will be no more as it’s the end of last year’s crop 🛑
🏁Also last bucket of Fettercairn soft set honey is getting jarred next 🛑

Thank you very much for your continued support but that’s it - you ate your way trough the whole of last year’s harvest from those two apiaries and they’re now finished. Hoping to get more this year (weather/God/bees permitting 🤞🏻), so stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted 🍯

On the positive side - Morphie honey is making a long waited return and will be hitting the jars 🔜

Dun honey is still available - until stock lasts and hoping it will be enough till the new season starts 🤞🏻

Cairn O Mount Heather honey is still available in jars and as cut comb 🍯

Thank you for supporting me and my wee business - it does mean the world to me and my bees and we’re forever grateful 🧑🏼‍🚀🐝🫶🏽

STINGS happen! Even to the best of us 😔

So this weekend I’ll bee rocking my queen bee hat 🧢 🤭 cause it’s not ‘a bad hair day’ or ‘I was in a pub fight day’, it’s rather ‘I took a sting day’

If you need a queen bee hat for a day like that - head over to the online shop at https://shop.danisbees.co.uk/b/Yak0h or come see me at this weekends events:
Today-Saturday-16th may Banchory Farmers Market
Tomorrow-Sunday-17th may Gordon Castle Highland Games

Who need a Botox when you can get the natural anti-wrinkle thing 😇

Hi ya 👋
That’s me back and of course I had to go see the girls today, but unfortunately the Scottish weather had other plans 🌧️ , so hives inspections were abandoned for today and I’ll report on my splits etc tomorrow once I have another go 🤷🏻‍♀️

Something else thought as a word of caution - I did find some wasps nests in few of my swarm lures, so be mindful and check your lure boxes regularly as they may have attracted unwanted visitors and turned you from a beekeeper into waspkeeper 👩‍🚀

Anyways - have a lovely afternoon and stay tuned for some more beekeeping news 📰

If you need honey or Bobs - go see the Kilt Mannie & the Kilt Lassie at R Doig & Sons and they’ll sort you out 🏬

Just as well it’s only a short flight or I’d have the whole plane decorated with bees and looking homey and faBEElous in no time 🤭

Yesterday at St Andrews Markets someone asked me about the beeswax fridge magnets as they wanted to take some to their family in the USA and told me they weren’t able to order them online at my shop so had to wait for the market to see me at the stall and hope I’ll have them with me. Well I didn’t 😔 Sorry lovely and thank you for reminding me about them - I had totally forgotten 🤦🏻‍♀️
But now to redeem myself - I’ve made a whole big batch of them, packed them and even put them on my online shop https://shop.danisbees.co.uk/b/nZpuH so they’re available again and I’ll pop your order in the mail for you first thing tomorrow morning - promise
So thank you once again for reminding me and hey if there is anything you’d like to see/try/ask - please feel free to give me a buzz here or on messenger, what’s up, viber or just pick up the phone - I’m very daft, but friendly and usually helpful when I can 😊
