A massive thank you to all our Morrisons Pontefract and Morrisons Knottingley customers who took the time to have a go on our tombola over the last two days, and to everyone who kindly donated to Marie Curie.

Every penny raised really does make a huge difference and helps support the incredible work the charity does.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Mel Jackson from Airedale Baby and Children’s Bank for volunteering her time. Your kindness, generosity and support are truly appreciated, and it made it so much easier. 💛

Morrisons Foundation

We're pleased to announce that the Morrisons Foundation has teamed up with a charity called 'Kick It Out' to launch ‘More than a kit. Football United’, an initiative designed to help girls play, participate, and thrive in grassroots football.

Delivered in collaboration with Gift of Kit, the programme will provide 30 girls' teams from across West Yorkshire with free football kits, educational resources, and opportunities to engage with the wider game.

☕💚 Morrisons Knottingley is proud to support our local community!

We've donated refreshments to MHA, who are working alongside Airedale Library and Airedale Neighbourhood Management to provide free tea, coffee and refreshments for anyone who drops in to Airedale Library on Mondays & Wednesdays 🕙 10:00am – 11:30am 🗓️

Running until 24th August

Everyone is welcome, so why not pop along for a friendly chat and a warm drink! Children are welcome too!

🌞 A donation from our Morrisons Knottingley store! 💚

We're delighted to have donated water, sun cream, and other essential items to Home-Start Wakefield and District.

These items will be going with families on a special day trip to the seaside, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and making their day even more enjoyable.

We hope everyone has a fantastic day making happy memories! 🏖️☀️💚

Our Morrisons Knottingley store have kindly donated the refreshments for this event!

Go along for a friendly chat over a cuppa, meet new people, make new friends, and enjoy a welcoming, supportive space where everyone is welcome. 🥰

Both space are solely booked out for these coffee mornings!

A massive thank you to all our Morrisons Knottingley customers who bought food and donated it to Ferrybridge Community Pantry, who were fundraising in our Morrisons Knottingley store today.

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated money to help them continue supporting our local community. 💙 they collected £137.15.

And lastly, a massive thank you to the volunteers, Ange, Tj and Kendall, from the Pantry who spent their day fundraising and showing awareness.

To help tackle loneliness and isolation, our Community Champion, Lynsey, will be at Ferrybridge Community Centre on Tuesday 7th July and at The Café, Airedale Centre, on Tuesday 14th July for a new group being set up to support women as part of With Women Peer Support. 💜

Starting on Tuesday 7th July, these sessions will alternate between the two venues every other week.

As a qualified professional, Lynsey will provide peer support in a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space. Whether you're feeling isolated, lonely, overwhelmed, or simply want someone to talk to, you'll be very welcome.

Sometimes, just having a chat over a cuppa with people who understand can make all the difference.

The group will meet every other Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, alternating between:

📍 Ferrybridge Community Centre – starting Tuesday 7th July
📍 The Café, Airedale Centre – from Tuesday 14th July

These sessions are all about bringing women together to build friendships, support one another, and remind each other that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

🕙 Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
📍 Venue: Ferrybridge Community Centre, WF11 8PQ
