📢 A Quick Update from the New Owner of Nisa Local Tonteg & Church Village

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to clarify a few things, as I’ve seen some confusion regarding our store.

Although we now trade as Nisa Local, we are still very much part of the wider Co-op family. The main difference is that we operate as an independently owned store rather than a franchised Co-op branch. This means we still stock and sell thousands of Co-op products, with new Co-op lines being added every week.

As the new owner, I can honestly say I see huge potential in this store. Many local residents have fond memories of when it traded as a Co-op, and my goal is to continue building on that reputation while improving the shopping experience for everyone in the community.

Over the past week, we experienced some delivery issues due to delays from Co-op Wholesale, with some deliveries arriving 3–4 days later than expected. This unfortunately affected stock levels on certain shelves. The good news is that these issues now appear to be resolved, and deliveries are returning to normal.

Since taking over, we’ve been working hard to:
✅ Increase stock availability
✅ Introduce new product ranges
✅ Expand our Co-op product offering
✅ Improve store standards and presentation
✅ Ensure shelves remain fully stocked throughout the week
✅ Bring back the great shopping experience customers remember

We’re also working closely with Co-op Wholesale to strengthen our supply chain and continue developing the store for the future.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and understanding during this transition period. The positive feedback we’ve received so far has been fantastic, and we’re committed to making this store a place the local community can be proud of.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself as the new owner of the store and say a big thank you for the support and patience everyone has shown so far.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working hard to fully restock the shop with a much wider range of Co-op products, fresh groceries, and everyday essentials. Our aim is to bring the store back up to the high standards customers were used to previously. Realistically, this process will take around a month or two as we continue receiving new stock and improving different areas of the shop.

A little about myself — I currently own and operate a number of successful supermarkets and a petrol station, so customer service, product range, and community convenience are extremely important to me. My goal is to make this store something the local community can genuinely rely on again.

If there’s anything you regularly buy that is currently missing from the shelves, please let a member of staff know and we will do our very best to bring it in for you. We really want to stock products that local customers actually want and use.

We’re also planning some exciting additions to the store over the next few months, including:

* Subway
* A fresh butchers section
* Greggs (subject to approval)
* Potentially a café/seating area

Please bear with us while these plans are being arranged, as some of these developments could take around 3–4 months to complete properly.

We’re also pleased to confirm that National Lottery services will be returning to the store within the next 3 months.

In addition, we’ll be expanding our parcel and collection services to make the shop more convenient for everyone. We’re planning to introduce:

* Evri
* UPS
* Amazon
* DHL
* DPD

Our aim is to make the store a true one-stop convenience shop for the local area.
