How to summarise the Three Rivers 2026 edition. It's actually hard to find the words. Being on site to volunteer a week before helped the new shop build so much, having the space to set everything up properly and do all the tweaks that otherwise feel last minute elsewhere was really appreciated. Team Totemik set about helping decorate the woodlands, painting and upholstering a welcome booth at the entrance. We added our poetry board and hammocks that are available in store; making displays with some almost antique Shellac records. Lampshades were upcycled for festoon lighting, and we finished our second silver shop mascot complete with mirror ball head; who somehow managed to stand upright throughout by holding a large smiley flag. Unamed, she is now donated to the Festival. Suggestions welcomed for her naming ceremony next year please!
Trading wise we were blown away by the kind customer feedback, we met some amazing people over the three days from all walks of life. Rest assured you are all welcome at the Boutique, we look forward to catching up again soon. You made our journey all the more worthwhile by not only being incredible, but patient and respectful when we were multitasking.
Definite highlights were making friends with French volunteers, catching up with faces from last year, meeting new faces including all our fellow traders. The Heron Guard, Wolfguard and other re-enactment characters, as well as the legendary Ray Keith. And performing a Dj set in the Woodlands on a well engineered Lab Horn, USB, Funktion 1 Soundsystem which sounded tight throughout. Big thanks to Solace Audio, A Higher Sound and SHACK Promotions for making that a reality.
I will add a full photo edit soon, it's been a busy week to concentrate on that completely, but it's all too exciting that this at least needed to be shared. Three Rivers crew, you smashed it, be proud of your efforts. It's a pleasure to be part of the adventure.
