*Great news for the community!*
The café will be opening its doors again this Saturday with David and Harry, with a relaxed soft opening to get everything moving smoothly. There will be some great specials to use the existing fresh stock, and then from Monday, David and Harry’s menu will be back in full operation. Our volunteers are ready to support, and everyone is looking forward to welcoming the operators back.
To support the café’s long term success, a new steering group is also being set up — as agreed at Monday’s meeting — made up of three well respected local people and three trustees. The first meeting is planned for the week of the 15th June.
Thanks for all your support including to all the volunteers for maintaining the opening of the cafe in the last 2 weeks. Exciting times ahead ...

To all our customers and supporters,

It is with great disappointment that, due to a lack of support from the committee, we have made the difficult decision to close the café until further notice.

We would like to thank everyone who has visited, supported us, and helped make the café such a special place. Your encouragement, kind words, and custom have meant a great deal.

We hope that circumstances may change in the future, but for now the café will remain closed until further notice.

What a day for it 🌞

Another busy one at the cafe today… sunshine pouring in, coffees flying out, cakes disappearing faster than we could put them on the counter 😅

Nothing better than seeing folk sitting outside soaking up the views with a coffee and a scone in hand. Safe to say the strawberry tarts didn’t last long again 👀🍓

Thanks again everyone for keeping us rushed off our feet — the support from locals, visitors and hungry walkers means the world ❤️

Same again tomorrow then? 😉

Somebody better warn the cakes… another weekend’s coming 👀🍰

The coffee’s hot, the scones are fresh, the views are doing their usual showing off, and we’re ready for another busy few days at Kildonan ☕🌊

Whether you’re popping in for “just a coffee” (and leaving with a traybake 👀) or making the scenic pilgrimage for strawberry tartss… we’ll see you soon.

Same cosy corner, same island vibes, same problem of cakes disappearing too quickly 😅
